Silver Cuddy Bead Fossil Pendant with Flower-Shaped Centre

A little piece of ancient coastal history, this elegant pendant is made from a mould taken directly from an authentic Cuddy bead fossil found by the maker on the shores of Lindisfarne. Handcrafted in fine silver clay and torch-fired into solid .999 fine silver, it beautifully captures the fossil’s natural grooves, ridges and distinctive flower-shaped centre.

Cuddy beads, also known as St Cuthbert’s beads, are fossilised segments of ancient sea creatures called crinoids. Their flower-like patterns make them treasured beachcombing finds along the northern English coast.

The silver fossil measures approximately 10mm x 9mm and hangs 16mm from an 18" sterling silver chain.

Presented in a grey recycled-card gift box with care instructions and a handwritten note, wrapped in recycled tissue and posted in recycled card packaging.
