Silver Cuddy Bead Fossil Ring with Flower-Shaped Centre Size UK Q

Rooted in coastal heritage and crafted with care, this silver Cuddy bead ring is made using a mould taken directly from an authentic Cuddy bead fossil found by the maker. This process allows the pendant to capture every natural groove, ridge, and the distinctive flower-shaped opening at its centre, preserving the fossil’s original character in stunning detail.

The fossil section of the ring is formed from fine silver clay, first shaped and refined by hand before being torch-fired into solid .999 fine silver. It is carefully set on to a 3mm wide D shaped ring band with a hammered effect which catches the light beautifully.

Meaningful, unique, and steeped in coastal tradition, this ring brings ancient seaside history into everyday wear.

What Are Cuddy Beads?

Cuddy beads, or St. Cuthbert’s beads, are naturally occurring fossil segments from ancient sea creatures called crinoids. Their distinctive circular shape and internal flower-like patterns make them treasured finds along the northern English coastline, especially around Lindisfarne where the maker found this one.

The silver fossil measures 9.5mm high by 8.5mm wide and is set on a 3mm wide hammered sterling silver ring band.
